Brandon & Meredith Ellison
Weaverville, NC
Previous Occupation: Insurance
Previous Income: Unknown
Current Income: $300,000+

Although both were Alabama-born, Brandon and Meredith Ellison did not meet until introduced by mutual friends at the University of Alabama. Meredith graduated with a degree in both Human Development and Psychology, while Brandon graduated with a degree in Accounting. From there, the couple decided to move out of the south and headed for Colorado. They hoped to make a fresh start and find new opportunities in the state.
After a year of working odd jobs, neither of the two was happy where their careers were going. They worked odd jobs, including laying tile and waiting on tables. Brandon did manage to make a few extra dollars playing his guitar at local bars, but overall their incomes were barely covering the bills. It was time again for another move, and the two made a compromise and settled in Asheville, North Carolina in 2001.
At first, it looked as if Brandon and Meredith had found a different location for the same problems; Brandon returned to waiting tables while Meredith found a job at a nearby preschool. Brandon was getting tired of the same-old-same-old, so he took a career change and came into the insurance field. He cut his teeth at AFLAC, and then became employed with Cornerstone of America. This job finally led him to NAA in 2002. Not long after completing her Master's Degree in Community counseling, Meredith joined her husband at his new career, catapulting their combined agency.
Brandon believes the key to success is to follow the NAA system. He says that NAA has a "blueprint for success" that any one from any walk of life can follow. "All you have to do is plug in and follow it." He feels fortunate to have been able to work closely with some of NAA's top producers, including Casey Watkins and Stephen Davies , and tries his best to emulate them. "Of course the leadership at the top with Barry, Andy and Phillip has been the key to all of our successes."
The duo's own successes are the best evidence that NAA's system works. "We have set financial goals of earning $1 Million per month for our business. More importantly we want to make the leaders in our organization millionaires. As for our personal life, we have a goal to gain the freedom to do whatever we want, whenever we want and for money not to be an issue."
One of their main priorities is travelling the world and exposing their daughter, Addie Ruth, to the cultures around the world: "To be able to teach them the similarities we share with people all over the world. It is one thing to read about different cultures and people, but it is another to be able to see other places with your own two eyes."
Locally, the family loves to hike through the beautiful local scenery of the Appalachian mountains and have picnics. They enjoy the year-round outdoor festivals in Asheville and working in their Japanese garden together on the weekends. Both personally and career-wise, the two have no plans on slowing down any time soon.
