One of NAA's top agency management teams and power couples, Robert and Michelle Wallace have merged their personal and professional relationship to create a powerhouse of production.
Michelle was born in the Midwest area of Manhattan, Kansas and later grew up in Indiana. Robert was on the east coast in Norfolk, Virginia. He was part of an Air Force family that traveled across the country to different bases. He ended up attending Arizona State University after his father took a position in Phoenix. Michelle attended the same University after becoming commissioned as an ROTC officer at 20. She gained a Bachelor's degree from the college, as well as a Master's in Educational Counseling from Northern Arizona.
The couple finally met at a mutual job at an all-boys juvenile treatment facility. Although they enjoyed each other's company, trouble within their career field made them decide to change jobs. Robert started into Banking. His dedication to his job quickly earned him a promotion to Vice President, but he decided to end his stint with the company in hopes of launching a project with other investors to start their own bank. Sadly, the money they needed did not materialize, and the project was unable to take flight. Robert subsequently joined with The Royal Bank of Scotland and handled business to business sales in the company.
Meanwhile, Michelle was on her own career track. She began working in financial advisor and, like her husband, was promoted to Vice President in no less than 3 years. The new position meant that she had to move to Dallas in order to train and develop new advisors for the company. She worked in Dallas for 2 more years before the birth of her son Zechariah made her reconsider her career plans.
She took 3 years off to spend time with her new baby boy before feeling the urge to return to the working world, but she had much to consider; the family's funds were at an all time low, even though Robert was working more than 60 hours a week. Their daughters Victoria and Brittany were about to enter high school. Michelle faced the challenge of finding a job but she would need to find one that would give her the time she needed take care of her family, and a substantial income.
Michelle's prayers were answered when a friend invited her to attend an NAA meeting in 2005. Having a good feeling about the company, she passed on the meeting and dove straight into her first training session. By the end, she had a list of leads to contact. As fate would have it, however, she lost her voice the night before she was supposed to call them! Robert came to his wife's aid and made appointments with her potential clients. This marked the beginning of an agency that would ultimately become a top name on the NAA leader boards.
Their manager Ralph Simpson, and NAA at large, has continued to impress Robert and Michelle with the consistency of quality leadership. They feel certain that they've gotten on the ground floor of a company that's just begun to make a difference for families across America.
"We consider it complete joy that we can protect the American family dream by ensuring people don't lose their homes, and that we can also affect people by helping them fulfill their financial goals and their life goals. NAA is a reality to be worked!" Robert & Michelle are certainly proof of that.
